What this code means
E19: Heating time exceeded

The water is taking too long to reach the target temperature. Limescale on the element is a common slow-burn cause in hard-water areas.

What to check, in order

  1. Note whether only hot programmes fail; cold washes may complete normally.
  2. Heater testing is electrical work for a technician.
Safety first. Switch the machine off and unplug it before cleaning filters or moving hoses. Expect water to come out when you open a pump filter; keep a tray and towel ready. If you are not comfortable with any step, stop and call a technician.
