What this code means

SUd: Too many suds detected

This is not a breakdown. The washer has detected excess foam and pauses to let it break down before continuing. It is caused by detergent, not by the machine.

Common causes

Too much detergent for the load
Non-HE detergent used in a high-efficiency machine
Detergent buildup from repeated overdosing

What to check, in order

Wait: the machine usually clears the foam and resumes on its own.
Use less detergent, and use HE detergent in front-load and HE top-load models.
Run an empty hot wash or tub-clean cycle to clear detergent residue.

Safety first. Switch the machine off and unplug it before cleaning filters or moving hoses. Expect water to come out when you open a pump filter; keep a tray and towel ready. If you are not comfortable with any step, stop and call a technician.
