What this code means
CE: Current error: motor overload current

The control detected excessive current to the drive motor. It can come from a genuinely overloaded drum or from a motor or board problem.

Common causes

What to check, in order

  1. Remove a good part of the load and retry once with a normal load.
  2. Check the drum turns freely by hand with the power off.
  3. Repeated CE on normal loads is a technician case.
Safety first. Switch the machine off and unplug it before cleaning filters or moving hoses. Expect water to come out when you open a pump filter; keep a tray and towel ready. If you are not comfortable with any step, stop and call a technician.
