What this code means
PF: Power failure notice

PF simply reports that power was interrupted during the cycle. It is information, not a fault: most models let you press Start/Pause to resume where the cycle stopped.

What to check, in order

  1. Press Start/Pause to resume the cycle.
  2. Check the outlet and breaker if PF appears without an outage.
  3. Frequent PF with stable home power can indicate a board problem.
Safety first. Switch the machine off and unplug it before cleaning filters or moving hoses. Expect water to come out when you open a pump filter; keep a tray and towel ready. If you are not comfortable with any step, stop and call a technician.
