HE: Heating error (washer-dryer models)

On models with a heater or dryer function, HE reports that heating is not working as expected. dHE is the drying-side version on combination units.

What to check, in order

  1. Check whether unheated cycles still complete; if they do, the heating circuit is confirmed as the fault area.
  2. Element testing is live electrical work: book a technician.
Safety first. Switch the machine off and unplug it before cleaning filters or moving hoses. Expect water to come out when you open a pump filter; keep a tray and towel ready. If you are not comfortable with any step, stop and call a technician.
